Headquartered in Lindau at Lake Constance, the company has a comprehensive sales and service network in Germany; branches are located in Berlin, Essen, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Hamburg, Hanover, Lindau, Ludwigshafen, Munich, Nuremberg, and Stuttgart. ENGIE Refrigeration’s origins date back to Sulzer, founded in 1834; thus, the company has decades of experience in industrial refrigeration. In 2017, ENGIE Refrigeration employed 300 people and generated sales of around 84 million euros.
ENGIE Refrigeration’s service portfolio includes products – chillers such as QUANTUM, Pensum, Marenum, Spectrum and Amonum, re-cooling plants, cooling and chilled water plants, and container plants – and services. These, in turn, range from classic refrigeration services such as inspection, maintenance and repair work, to modular maintenance and modernization services, to training through dka – die kälte-akademie, ENGIE Refrigeration’s training academy. With know-how and a great deal of commitment, the refrigeration experts at ENGIE Refrigeration develop modern, efficient and sustainable refrigeration solutions for companies of all sizes and from all industries. Long-standing customers in Germany include, for example, Amadeus Data Processing GmbH, Daimler AG, KIT Campus, the “Höfe am Brühl” shopping center, and Schön Kliniken.

Since June 2016, ENGIE Deutschland has combined the expertise of ENGIE Deutschland GmbH (formerly Cofely Deutschland GmbH), ENGIE Refrigeration GmbH (formerly Cofely Refrigeration GmbH), ENGIE Deutschland AG (formerly GDF SUEZ Energie Deutschland AG), ENGIE Energielösungen GmbH (formerly GDF SUEZ Energy Sales GmbH) and H.G.S.
